Looking for a Church?
We'd love to meet you!

At Holy Cross we aim to be a welcomming community for everyone!

What to expect at a service?

Most of our Sunday services are a service of communion using a common Australian Anglican structure. We sing together, listen to the readings and a sermon before sharing in the communion. For the congregation, anything that is said is displayed on screens for ease and accessibillity. After the service most weeks we look to join together over a morning tea. Sometimes on Sundays we get to enjoy an irregular event such as a combined service or combined brunch with nearby churches.

Our Regular Wednesday Eucharist  is a 1995 Australian Prayer Book 2nd Order of Holy Communion using the Prayer Book itself. This service is a simple said service with rich theology. If you have never used a Prayer Book for a service there will always be someone willing to help you.

What about my kids?

We have a Kids Church most Sundays in school term which always love to welcome new members in. When the children are in church (before and after kids church) there are colouring sheets for the kids and couches for the parents all within the regular church space!

How do I get there and is there parking?

We have plenty of parking on site which is assessible off the Antill Street side street. Other options of transport are also accessible, a bus stop is only 200m away with the 53 bus arriving from the city at 8:48 am on a Sunday leaving over ten minutes to get comfortable before the service. You may even want to ride a bike or combine your ride with the lightrail which is 2km away.

What do I wear?

We have some people want to wear smart casual or verging on formal and they are just as accepted as the Ministry Student who wears jeans or cargo pants and a t-shirt.
